Jingtian & Gongcheng (the “Firm”) is pleased to announce the strategic lateral hire of new Corporate & Securities practitioners, Vivian Yiu and Ke Huang, at its Hong Kong office, significantly enhancing the Firm’s capabilities in corporate transactions and international capital markets. Vivian and Ke bring with them a talented team of experienced lawyers, including one Counsel and four Associates.
Vivian Yiu
Vivian Yiu joins Jingtian & Gongcheng as a Corporate & Securities partner, having recently served as a partner at a US law firm in Hong Kong, bringing with her more than 22 years of experience as a corporate finance lawyer. Vivian advises clients across a wide range of corporate transactions and regulatory compliance matters, including primary and secondary equity offerings in Hong Kong, private investments in public equity (PIPEs), public and private M&A transactions, as well as transactions under the Hong Kong Takeovers Code. She also has extensive experience working with Hong Kong-listed issuers, sponsors, underwriters, private equity funds, multinational companies, and Chinese enterprises. Ranked as a leading lawyer in Hong Kong Equity Capital Markets by Legal 500 and as one of the IFLR1000 Women Leaders highly regarded for Capital Markets: Equity and M&A (Hong Kong) by International Financial Law Review, Vivian has also been appointed to the inaugural editorial board of FinanceAsia, underscoring her ability to shape perspectives on Asia capital markets. She has authored and contributed to articles, podcasts, and events relating to Chinese private equity, new listing regimes, SPACs, and ESG reporting. She was also previously a partner in the Hong Kong office of a Magic Circle firm. Vivian is admitted to practice in Hong Kong and England & Wales. She holds a B.A. (Jurisprudence) from the University of Oxford and a P.C.L.L. from University of Hong Kong, and is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
Ke Huang
With more than 15 years of experience in international capital markets and related transactions, Ke Huang’s practice includes representing issuers and underwriters in Rule 144A and Regulation S international equity and debt offerings throughout Asia, including the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia. Having previously served as a partner at a US law firm in its Hong Kong and Beijing offices, his diverse sector experience ranges across financial services, FinTech, manufacturing, energy, TMT, education and healthcare. With a background in engineering, he also previously worked for a Magic Circle firm in their Hong Kong office. Ke is recommended by Legal 500 for Hong Kong Capital Markets (Equity). He has contributed insights via published articles and client events on listing regimes and take-private transactions. He is a Registered Foreign Lawyer with the Law Society of Hong Kong and is admitted to practice in the State of New York. Ke holds a B.A. and B.S. from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a J.D. from Northwestern University. He is fluent in Mandarin and English.
