Mr. Eugene Chen graduated from Peking University Law School in 2004 with an LLB degree. He obtained an LL.M. degree from University of Minnesota Law School in 2011.
Mr. Chen started his legal profession in Jingtian & Gongcheng from 2006 to date. From 2004 to 2005, he worked for Hainan Airlines Group as in-house counsel.
Mr. Chen specializes in securities law and capital market, cross-border M&A, real estate, infrastructure and mineral resources investment, etc.
In the area of securities and capital market, Mr. Chen has been advising on the H-Shares or Red Chips offering of more than fifteen companies, including China Communications Construction Company Limited, Shanghai Jinjiang International Hotels Development Co.,Ltd, CITIC Dameng Holdings Limited, Country Garden Holdings Company Limited, Vinda International Holdings Ltd., China 33 Media Group Ltd., Ausnutria Dairy Corporation Ltd.and Cifi Holdings (Group) Co. Ltd., covering a wide range of industry sectors including real estate, energy, food, advertising and media, and infrastructure. Mr. Chen has also been acting as PRC legal counsel in several large-scale cross-border M&A projects by Chinese enterprises.
Mr. Chen was admitted to the PRC bar in 2006.
Mr. Chen is a native mandarin speaker and is fluent in English.
