Mr. Zhang has over 10 years of experience, he mainly specializes in cross-jurisdictional mergers, foreign direct investment, domestic and overseas capital market and private equity investments

In cross-jurisdictional mergers sector, Mr. Zhang has represented a large number of multi-national and emerging companies, Chinese State-owned enterprises and publicly listed companies in their acquisitions, investments and dispositions in a wide range of industries, including industrials, TMT, healthcare, education and renewable energy. Mr. Zhang has a very good understanding of the internal and external pressures that clients face throughout the transactions, and the industry-specific issues critical to the success of such transactions.

In private equity investment sector, Mr. Zhang has represented various renowned capital firms private equity houses and enterprises, including but not limited to Bytedance, Missfresh, Shouqi, Soul, Thinkgeek, Wimi, Hivebox and 36Kr.

In capital market sector, Mr. Zhang has advised various enterprises in their domestic and overseas IPO projects in SSE, HKSE and Nasdaq. Mr. Zhang has extensive experience in representing enterprises or underwriters in TMT and “new economy” sectors in their IPOs.

Mr. Zhang joined Jingtian & Gongcheng in 2018. Before coming to Jingtian & Gongcheng, he worked with other top-tier law firms in China.

Mr. Zhang received LL.B. with Honor in Peking University School of Law in 2007, and LL.M. in Peking University and University of Michigan Ann Arbor in 2009 and 2010, respectively. He is qualified to practice in China. Mr. Zhang ’s working languages are Chinese and English.
