Jingtian & Gongcheng’s Shanghai Office Participates in “Lend a Hand to Tackle Poverty, Join Hands to Pass on Love” Campaign
2018 represents the 23rd consecutive year that the Shanghai Xuhui District Government has committed to providing assistance to Honghe Prefecture in Yunnan. Aligned with the policies set out in the 19th National Congress of the Party, key government bodies and private companies in Xuhui District, including Jingtian & Gongcheng Shanghai office, initiated the campaign “Join Hands to Support Honghe Prefecture in Yunan Province.”
On February 28th, under a joint initiative between Shanghai Xufang (Group) Limited Company and Mondelez International, Inc and together with other organizations in Xuhui District., Jingtian & Gongcheng provided nutritious breakfasts for 200,000 people living under the poverty line from four districts in Honghe Prefecture in Yunnan Province.
Through the coordination between of Xuhui District government officials, Yunan aid groups stationed in Shanghai and related organizations, trucks loaded with 30,000 nutritious breakfast meals started slowly heading for Honghe Prefecture in Yunnan. This milestone marks the first occasion ever that enterprises in Xuhui District joined hands to donate resources to tackle poverty. Moving forward, more poverty-alleviation efforts will be directed towards not only physical resources but also in the areas of industry, education, employment and root-cause poverty alleviation.
As one of the leading organizations in Xuhui District, Jingtian & Gongcheng’s Shanghai office enthusiastically responded to the Party’s initiative “Take Targeted Measures in Poverty Alleviation” [Note: 3 different translations, are these the same campaign?] by participating in aiding Honghe Prefecture in Yunan Province. By partnering with local enterprises in Xuhui district to participate in the “Lend a Hand to Tackle Poverty, Join Hands to Pass on Love” campaign, the firm made measurable steps to support poverty-alleviating endeavors and made a significant contribution to winning the war against poverty and building a more prosperous society.
